I got back from the English Setter National show last week. I must say it was the best time I'd had in a long while! This was my "debut" at ES Nationals and sort of my initiation. Jane and I traveled in her RV; this is a fun mode of travel and camping with *most* of the conveniences of home without worrying about booking an expensive hotel room and checking in and out. The space is cramped but comfy. Here is a picture of the view from the hallway looking towards the front.
To the left we have the kitchen; there is a sink, stove, refrigerator and microwave. To the right is a closet and just behind that is the bathroom, which is just like a train or plane bathroom. Across from the bathroom is the shower, which if you cannot get up from a kneeling position, I recommend you not squat. The couch beyond the sink pulls out and becomes my bed. The table to the right is never used, as this is where the dog crates go! You can see the dog crates on the right hand side of the picture. Here is a picture of River looking at pitiful as he can because he is IN his crate instead of OUT of it:

Kelly was "parked" right next to him in her crate. Kelly slept with me each night and River slept with Jane in the back bedroom each night, so don't let them make you think they were abused :) Below is a view from the door of the RV looking all the way back past the kitchen and into the almost roomy bedroom. It is wider than it looks from this view and includes a closet space underneath the queen size bed, a nightstand and a wall TV. There is also a TV up front.
Anyhow, this RV, model "Intruder" is quite the party machine! Everything we need for dog shows is stowed beneath the cabin in several bays. We have x-pens, we have extra crates, we have bungies, we have extra pails, tarps, hoses, grooming tables, extra grooming equipment. We even have a mini grill stowed away. I made hotdogs the last time we used the Intruder.
This post was going to be about the ES Nationals, but as I digressed incredibly much, this will be the RV Travel post and the ES Nationals post itself will be forthcoming...whenever :)
