Tribute to a Greater Dog

This is a sad one. This is current. 2 days ago, on Thursday, Sept. 27th Am/Can Ch/AFC Sanbar's Call Collect MH went to the Rainbow Bridge. He was called Miles, or Mr. Miles by his friends and there were many. Miles was the father of Maestro, grandfather of Shelby and greatgrandfather of Truman and Kelly and many others. He was a great hunting dog, a terrific showdog and an outstanding companion. His tail never stopped wagging. He sired many great dogs and granddogs and greatgranddogs including our peronal favorite BIS Jonnie (Shelby's father). The weekend has been rather wistful with the news of his passing as I have so much of Miles here. Maestro looks more and more like his father each day. He was a good one and many loved him. May he find many birds in the great hunting grounds across the bridge and sleep in soft green meadows. RIP dear Mr. Miles. :(

Aw, sorry to hear about Miles. I certainly remember you telling me about Miles. He's left quite a progeny though! Lovely dogs, all.

Love, L

Oh my, I have to grab a kleenex hold on......I am sorry to hear about Mr. Miles crossing the Rainbow Bridge. My last Brittany, crossed over christmas 2005, she ended up at UC Davis, she was overrun with cancer. She was 13 and awesome. I now have 2 Brittanys, I acquired Summer through National Brittany Rescue, NBRAN.org Easter Sunday 2006, she was found on the Ohio/Kentucky border with another Brittany, no collars, Summer skinny, the other emaciated. I got June from a breeder in Minnesota, bred with a sire of 'Tru Brittanys' in California, last June, hence the name June!! She is a spitfire, full of life, full of the Brittany energy, she is Brittany through and through. I do not have any history of Summer, I know by her behavior that she was mistreated badly, not now though!!

My blog too is pretty much about my dogs. So come by sometime, I always have new pictures of the girls in their Brittany capers!!

Love to meet another Brittany owner, sorry if I am going on.

My thought and prayers are with you

Hi gals! I've neglected this blog since beginning it last month; I'm sorry to have missed your recents comments, thank you! When I become more comfortable with using Blogger I will use it more frequently. I am working on a new post now, with pictures. Grace, I know who Tru Brittanys are! Congrats on the new addition!
